Tara, Originally from New Zealand, Tara Stower lived in Queensland’s Balonne district from 2007 to 2017, where she established herself as an accomplished artist, art teacher, facilitator, and gallery owner.

Working across a variety of mediums—including pastels, oils, acrylics, charcoal, and watercolours—Tara’s work beautifully balances delicate, intricate depictions of nature with bold, vibrant abstract compositions. Her most celebrated pieces capture the essence of flora, birdlife, and landscapes, reflecting her deep appreciation for the natural world.

Despite having no formal art training, Tara possesses an innate talent for capturing the fine details and organic beauty of her subjects. Now based in Noosa, she continues to evolve her artistic practice, drawing inspiration from the lush landscapes and vivid biodiversity of the Sunshine Coast. Through her work, she seeks to celebrate the energy, colour, and delicate beauty of the region’s flora and fauna.
