Terri is a California-born Australian working from her home studio in the Noosa Hinterland of Queensland. A primarily self-taught artist in oils and mixed media, her application to art was preceded by graduate studies in human movement and professional careers including teaching at the university level for over 20 years in science and communication. The themes of risk, challenge, learning and opportunity. have been integral to her recent but deep dive into creating full time. She has been featured as a finalist in several art awards in Australia.

Horses have filled her life’s most treasured chapters – from riding through redwood forests in her youth to competing in eventing. Terri’s ability to represent their character and physicality has led to her specialising in equine portraiture.

Terri’s art also reveals her sense of adventure and appreciation of natural environments, especially for her beloved ocean where she swims or surfs most mornings.

A common thread in her art is her depth in narrative as she visually represents the stories of her subjects or her own experiences.
